California State University-Dominguez Hills provides successful applicants with a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology that can be utilized as a strong foundation for careers in the psychology and health industry. Students gain a well-rounded assortment of research and written assignments that will develop necessary skills in their field, and are expected to work side by side with a faculty member in that area. Research subjects offered include neurophysiology, mental health models, HIV prevention, and various others. A practicum period is mandatory and provides unique hands on working experience providing services to clients and patients, as well as teaching opportunities throughout the department.
