The Dominican University of California was founded in 1890 and provides a highly regarded Master's program in Counseling Psychology which gives students the stepping off platform toward a career in case management, counseling, or professional consulting. This program also provides graduates with the skills necessary to educate others in community college settings, as well as within their own courses. Within the MCP program, students must choose a specialty in the categories of Family Therapy or General psychology. Classes at Dominican are smaller than other learning facilities which allows for closer work between students and the highly trained faculty. This program is instructional, interactive, and well-established in the psychology community.
