The California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University offers a unique approach to the study of psychology through two Master's programs in Clinical Counseling and Counseling Psychology. The field of professional counseling has fast become a staple in the psychology industry promoting prevention and personal health instead of the typical pathology models found in other fields of this study. Students will build strengths in critical consciousness and develop practical skills in treatment planning, diagnosis, reflective thinking, and interventions in both groups and in individual cases. Through practice in a clinic setting and a firm foundation in research efforts, graduates will complete 48 or 60 credit hours over a minimum of 2 years.
