Mount St Mary's College's Psychology Department offers a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology of which students can choose one of three specializations. The Marriage and Family Therapy program consists of 60 hours of units and is designed to aid graduates in obtaining a license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. The General Psychology specialization is a 36 unit program which focuses on exploring different theories and topics related to counseling. There is no fieldwork for this which means there is no support for obtaining a license to practice. Suitable for those who are interested in studying but not gaining employment.
